Our Ministries

Life Groups

AEFC Life Groups exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered community in an effort to “Raise Up a Faithful Generation”.  Through prayer, study, fellowship, and service these groups experience and treasure Christ together.  Composed of men and women from all generations, AEFC Life Groups meet throughout the week to exhort one another to grow in knowledge, godliness, and love for others.

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry leadership exists to raise up a Gospel-centered generation of children who will passionately pursue the supremacy of Christ in all things.
We will accomplish this by:

  • Using God’s Word to make disciples
  • Equipping parents to shepherd
  • Creating opportunities for children to delight in God

Women’s Ministry

Women’s ministry exists to raise up a generation of women who live gospel-centered lives with an assurance and hope of their identity in Christ.  A woman’s joy and satisfaction are found in Him in personal life, church, and community, achieved through intentional teaching, prayer, discipleship, and fellowship.  The goal is to help women mature in the knowledge and application of God’s word, to be pure and self-controlled in thought and deed, and desire to make Christ known, all to the praise of His glory.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry, at Annandale Evangelical Free Church, exists to train and equip men so that they may know nothing but Christ and Him crucified, giving all glory to the Lord and enjoying Him forever.  We will accomplish this by teaching and learning God’s word, learning how to pray privately and corporately, learning to trust the work and power of the Holy Spirit to refine our character so that we may live holy lives, learning how to become Biblical leaders in all aspects of our Christian walk, and teaching men how to submit to the will of God for our sanctification.

Seniors’ Ministry

So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those who come” (Psalm 71:18). This verse encapsulates the heartbeat of our seniors’ ministry as we seek to honor our older saints and learn from their perseverance in enjoying God. For believers fifty years or older, we offer opportunities for prayer, fellowship, singing, learning, and serving. In addition to scheduled events and programs, the leaders of AEFC promise to continually call our younger believers to watch, honor, and connect with older saints as we seek to raise up a faithful generation (Titus 2:1-5).

Young Adults

Zelos 118 Young Adult (7th-12th grade) Ministries exists to raise up a Gospel-centered generation of young men and women who will passionately pursue the supremacy of Jesus Christ in all things by treasuring Him, His Word, and His gospel, joyfully keeping his commands, and expectantly proclaiming his glory.

Adult Sunday School

AEFC is committed to the high call of training and deploying mature believers into the mission field of life: “. . . equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:12-13). In an effort to see this happen, our leaders strive to provide biblically sound, Christ-exalting adult Sunday school classes throughout the school year (September – May). These classes take place between first and second service and vary from topical studies to apologetics to      in-depth Bible studies. Please join us as we seek to grow in knowledge and affection (1 Cor. 13:6).

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry for people with all kinds of hurts, habits and hang-ups.  It has been successful at introducing people to a relationship with Jesus Christ, and has helped thousands of people become healthy, whole and passionate followers of Jesus.
